Adventure Log: Session the Fifth

Kestra, after having to report to the master of her collar, returned later and had a conversation with Rowe at a nearby bar. They discussed her situation, visions, and the party’s new patron. Kestra didn’t know the master of the collar’s name, but Rowe decided he wanted to meet their patron. Although Kestra was unsure how to go about it, they went to see if Rowe could meet with him.

Bronwyn joined us as well as Lucan. Together we went to find our patron. We met Tobias, a go-to man for the patron. Rowe told him he wanted to see the patron and that the team’s continuing to participate in the Crucible was contingent upon meeting him. Bronwyn was very angry at that.

Meanwhile, Naya has been missing, away with a mysterious gentleman named Val. The next morning she described him to Rowe. He is likely to have been Evayne in a past life.

Adventure Log: Session the Fourth

Date: Around the 16th of Sylvanis

Kestra has been missing since the party left the Cait Sidhe village, though we were assured we would meet up with her again. What the party doesn’t know is that she was captured by slavers and taken to Ozur. She is currently working for her new “owner” scouting contestants in the Crucible.

The Crucible is an arena, and this event at the time of our arrival is the Grand Crucible, an event that occurs only once every 100 years. It is a huge attraction in terms of gambling. It is the biggest, most dangerous and most rewarding of all the Crucible events. Also, the only way to get into Krevlorn Keep is via invitation — or to win the Crucible. Nightmares and Friendship

Lake finally was asleep.  Eribos’s antics and the whole teleportation, gateway-thing at this critical time and place while Crusader was missing was bad enough.  To know she would be exhausted tomorrow when a big fight was likely to happen was worse.  But, worries aside she finally slipped into slumber.

{Tia was herself, as she was born, in a gossamer, white shift walking along the beaches of Alpha prime, the purple ocean reflecting the twin moons in a dazzling display of color that no place could match. She was at peace. Shimmering unfocused down the beach was a form. Human, she thought, just out of range to be easily identified.}

Lightsaber Gauntlet

Inspired by SW concept art.

This is an idea for a non-traditional lightsaber type that someone might like to use.

Lightsaber Gauntlet
lightsaber
Size: Small
Cost: 14,000 credits
Damage: 2d6 energy and slashing
Weight: 1.5 kg
Availability: Rare
Required Feat: Weapon Proficiency (lightsabers)
Wrist-mounted weapon: This weapon cannot be disarmed (though it may be targeted and destroyed). Like the guard shoto lightsaber, this weapon is laced with phrik allow that allows the weapon to retain its DR versus other lightsabers, making it a good defensive weapon. It also makes this weapon rather expensive to build.

The blades are usually dual, mounted, very short lightsabers of perhaps two feet in length. However, together, they are capable of inflicting more damage than a typical lightsaber of this size. The guard and dual hilts are resistant to lightsaber damage, making this weapon especially useful in melee combat. Using this weapon in melee grants the user +2 equipment bonus to Block attempts.

Scum and Villainy

So, a new Star Wars sourcebook came out called Scum and Villainy. I haven’t quite finished reading everything — there is huge number of new options for tinkers, criminals, nobles, and just about every non-Jedi type of character you can think of! Oh yes. And there is great new stuff for modding starships.

Once again, there are a slew of new races available to PCs and I’ll shortly be reviewing them and adding them to the list of allowed races for this game.

Also of note is the equipment upgrade rules. This is, as you may have guessed if you already own the KotOR Campaign Guide, a valuable expansion on the system touched upon in our trusty KotOR book. At first glance, I want to say that everything listed there that is applicable to the KotOR time period, will be available to characters in this game.

I should take a moment to also state that there are a lot of books available for the Saga Edition of the RPG now. But you don’t need to buy them all in order to play. Really, you just need access to the core rulebook. All these other things mentioned here on this site and in those extra books are just options that are available if you want them.

Keep an eye on this blog, (or the RSS feed) to see what new stuff will be added to this KotOR Unleashed game!

We try to talk to a disembodied brain or Just a Few more minutes Mom

Crusader Grabbed hold of the hedgehog armor and disappeared into the floor.

As he left he yelled ‘get the others’. So we went after them. Erebos teleported in front of Lake and said something about us being followed. Orianna flew out the doors and threw a blast at a Skimmer that was warming up. So I followed suit and flung my full blast at it. It wasn’t armored or anything so I figured why not.  It started to sound a little rough after that attack and then the bad guys turned. Rey Wants a New Piece

Timeline: March 11, 2009

Rey paused outside Michael’s shop.  It had been a while since she’d talked to him, and she was wondering what he was up to.  Perhaps today was a good day to combine business and pleasure.

She walked up onto the step and pulled the door open to go inside.

Michael looked up from the gun magazine he was reading when he heard the door open. Upon seeing that it was Rey, he put done the magazine and stepped up to the counter.

With a friendly smile, he said, “Rey what can I do for you today?” Continue reading “Rey Wants a New Piece”

Adventure Log: Session the Third

Played November 16, 2008

Cast: Bronwen, Naya, Suulwyn, Lucan, Rowe

The group met at a tavern near the town center and talked about our visions. Bronwen, whose visions pertained more to her personal quest and who did not appear in anyone else’s vision, seemed grumpy. She left after asked about her visions.

On Treasure Splits: It was established how party treasure would be divided. Magic items would be split up according to who can best use the items. Other treasure will be divided into shares and everyone gets a share of that.
