Shackelton Station Hit Again!

Jihong Kim, staff reporter
Everyone seems to be following the news that Crusader and his team have been spotted in the NeoYork area, stopping robots and foiling crimes. That’s great, and I applaud their inspiring actions. But lost in the news about these attacks, colonization news, raids on the fronteer and the weather was a little noticed story. Continue reading “Shackelton Station Hit Again!”

Recap Before Session 8

baseThis is a recap of where things stand before the start of Session 8.

The PC’s will start at the base rendevous, which right now is a former secure mansion, but there are expansion plans. All of the PC’s will be there within minutes of game start in the afternoon of 10 March, 2911.

The location is illustrated on the right.

Crusader
Sam has arrived alone on the island after sending out a message to rendevous there. He is the worse for wear, but is physically doing well. He has a package and quickly gets into a long discussion with Metatide.

Metatide
Lake has just arrived from escorting the new prisoners. The prisoners in custody are listed in the Villains Session 7 post. They are being held at a secret facility in the city, awaiting questioning. Dr. Lao and Trista Adams from Dr. Hedgehog’s team are with her. As is Officer Kelsey Vance who after being called up by Metatide earlier has become an ad hoc liason from the NYSP concerning this situation. Continue reading “Recap Before Session 8”

Metatide Report: “Arrest Me”

Scene to take place upon Crusader’s return, likely at the proposed location for the new base at the island mansion.

Having shed her “working” form and returned to the form of her assumed identity, Lake Rain, Crusader’s lieutenant, waited in a small private room for a moment. She appeared to be attired in her attractive red outfit. It looked good on her, but a few members of the NeoGenesis team now knew that she really didn’t wear any clothes at all, that it was just a facade she wore and changed at will. It was as false as everything else she knew she was and right now that left a bitter taste in her mouth. She resolved to do some shopping for actual clothes at some point in the future. At least those things were real, and not a fake.

When Crusader entered, she handed him a report. It was in antiquated form using actual paper (or what passed for paper these days) instead of an electronic file.

Battle in North Harlem

This just in. NYSP offcials have confirmed the firefight at the Metro Police Forensic Annex in East Harlem district was indeed a fight between Crusader’s new team, unofficial called Genesis, and several unknown mutant powered assailents attacking the building. NYSP has apprehended several assailents and those on the scene said that Genesis saved the day. Continue reading “Battle in North Harlem”

Adventure Log: Session the Seventh

Current date: 3rd of Solaris

The party divides up the loot.

The PCs are in Carn. Rowe is researching and working at the Temple of Torne. He’s given Kestra a task and is planning on interview some of the other members of the team to try to figure out what’s going on with Bronwyn.

Rowe catches Kestra and warns her who his father really is and to use caution, as Sir Kanderus does rule and control Carn and surrounding area.

Later Naiya comes to Rowe, hearing he wanted to speak with her. He asks to share whatever secrets Bronwyn gaver her. Naiya tells Rowe about the runes, about Wielders being in Bronwyn’s family lines.

Meanwhile…Underground

Doc Hedge had agreed to bring Crusader to the surface. Before doing so, he gave him some more information, “So, we have a deal. Good. Here is our theory; just in case something happens. Actually Dr. Lao’s theory. He believes that the brain is ‘calling’ other AIs to it. The old battledroid was drawn to it (the one you have), as was the smaller humaform one from a couple weeks ago. Kestra Seeks Out Rowe

Kestra was distraught and neither sleep nor endless practice would calm her. She accepted Bronwyn’s decision, and even understood her reasons; but she didn’t expect Rowe’s reaction – at least towards her. Despite that, Kestra didn’t hold any ill will toward him or her; yet she didn’t know if she would be staying with her friends or leaving. If they all felt as Rowe did (even her cousin Lucan expressed his disappointment), then she would be forced to depart. Something she didn’t want to do.

To honor Bronwyn, Kestra couldn’t let things simply go sour. She had made some good friends and they had done many good deeds together. By Torne’s will she had gained both important life lessons and achieved a measure of the fame she so craved. She would not let the freedom dearly bought by Bronwyn to go to waste. By Bronwyn’s example she hoped to enjoy and cherish life and freedom more than even before. She hoped to do so with her close friends around her. Rowe, who was most angry at her, was the key. Should he wish her to stay, she would, and by his understanding of what happened that last day of the Crucible perhaps the others would grant her a measure of undrestanding as well.
