As our new guests were eating breakfast, I was reviewing the security tapes.  They were talking about when they would fight next.  I said that there would be no fights until they were better trained. The next time I interrupted was when they discussed being sold and I said that I had no intention of selling them. I felt they needed to be reassured that they had a home here but I don’t know if it came across that way.

Paulo asked me how much he earned and I said considerably more than Logan, and that all together we have $950,000 in the safe now after the purchasing the freedom of our three guests. When he kept pressing I said that he had earned a million dollars with his services. Then the alarm went off and I found out that our young wolves had started a fire in the kitchen trying to cook their food.   I flipped the switch that started the sprinklers in that zone and waited for the fire to go out. I then canceled the alarm to the fire startion.

Things were pretty quite for the next two weeks.  Sonja woke up after several days. Warren stayed with her the whole time. He was pretty worried, we all were, but there wasn’t anything any of us could do.

I set up an appointment with Lord Davis Ash, the Primogen of the Invictus, to talk about his group.

We met at a quite place, in the club.  I asked about more information on joining.    A recitation of lineage, an oath of fealty normally, given to one’s sire.  I of course don’t know who my sire is, I asked about probationary or if a foster sire would do, because surely there must be cases where a child chooses not to follow in his sires footsteps.  Lord Ash said he was sure something could be arranged and would I consider taking oath to him.  I told him that as long as it didn’t interfere with my oath to the Duke. Lord Ash said that Duke Victor Hecake is the head of the Invictus. He said he would look into my application and let me know the time and place for my introduction if I was accepted.

The next evening we talked about living wills and do we want to be awakened if we fall into Torpor.  Warren said that he would leave it up to Sonja, I didn’t really say anything but I was thinking about it. I could tell the others were too.  Sonja said that our number one rule as kindred is to protect the masquerade.  Paulo talked about his relationship with Elizabeth.  Said something like its not like you slept with her yet, and Paulo was suddenly quite and pensive.

It’s a Wednesday, night. Paulo called Elizabeth Duncan. He was having trouble getting a conversation started to I was whispering in his ear what he should say. He seemed a little out of practice.

I saw Payden walking down the hall it didn’t register that I could see her in the monitor.

She stopped by and talked to Paulo shaped blur then came to my sanctum. I had asked her to be my arm candy for the evening at the Fight Club and she wanted to know how she should dress and I said that tonight was a business meeting.  She asked if she should play it dumb or strong. Well, that lost me, and I asked by strong do you mean fighter type or independent. She answered that. So after thinking about it for a while I said, “That.”  I think the opportunities for people to approach her will be greater if they think she has a brain, rather than just wanting her for her body.  She left and got dressed. I reviewed the tapes from the past day. I saw a delivery had arrived and but I figured that we could look at the toys and clothes I had ordered when we got back.

House Rules for Ghouls

When you get a ghoul put dots in like Ally. 1 – 3 dots.

1 once per month addicted Redfield

2 once every 2 months in between

3 once every three months and not likely to be addicted

4 Human Servant can only have 1 destroys a will permanently if they die.

We told Eric about our activities and he suggested that we investigate the fight club more. After Eric was done talking to us, Payden entertained Eric with her music. The rest of us adorned to library and talked about the fight club.  I agreed to bankroll everyone and gave them each 1000.

After the 2 weeks everyone had settled in and chosen rooms.

Warren got a call from someone about some attack being like the other attack.

After Warren got off the phone, he asked who was available, while everyone was assembling. Warren asked me to advise him on some investments and I was happy to direct him to my accountant.

Warren asked if we wanted to go clubbing and look for a club that uses the symbol that he had uncovered. Warren went to ask his people if they had seen it or knew of it.
