Alizée’s Story

“Once there was a pretty girl
Whose hair was flaxen gold
She traded away her mortal life
To leave the blood and cold.”

“Of wolf blood run with fury
Her father, a ghost of Gaul
To fight the Teuton hordes
He answered Stalin’s call.”

“To Peter’s city by the sea
They came with hope to dwell
Then continue the fight lost
When Paris’ beauty had fell.”ali.jpg

“Then came the lightning war
Molotov’s words now betrayed
The Teuton machine did trap them
Mother Russia they did invade.”

“Cold and hunger came bitter
Her father by fang did fight
Innocence she had abandoned
To survive the winter’s night.”

“No food was there to sate her
No water save the ice and snow
No hope for the flaxen girl
Who trapped could never go.

“So entombed by ice and gun
Her father and mother seemed lost
There came a voice in the dark
Offering escape but with cost.”

“Green fields and beauty fair
The voice it did so invite
Away from this hell of death
The flaxen girl did take flight.”

“But survive she could have done
Her parents in fact not gone
To their eyes they have saved her
It was not in truth their fawn.”

“She was lost to mortal thought
Her story and life enslaved
Only memory kept her awakened
To the freedom of earth she craved.”

“Once there was a pretty girl
Whose hair was flaxen gold
She traded away her mortal life
To leave the blood and cold.”
