Grey took Rey in his arms and hugged her close to him. “What are they laughing about?” He saked as Ramiel and Michael walked into the woods and faded from view.
“I don’t know,” Rey said. “The last thing I remember them talking about was a bet on whether or not I’d ravish you right on the front porch or let you take me inside first.” She leaned into him, contentment at being in his embrace again. “Getting home to you was far more important to me than what they were saying.”
“Oh yeah,” he said wiith a smile.”Well it is March so what do you say we make them both loose. You run I chase and if it is too cold outside I warm you up?”
Rey put her bag down, gave him a playful shove and took off into the trees. She’d gotten to know the area around her cabin pretty well, so she ran as fast as she could without risking getting hurt. She knew it didn’t matter how fast she ran, because he’d always catch her, but the point was the chase.
He gave her a good head start, all the better for the hunt. It was a large timberwolf that padded through the woods after her, taking in her scent and following it right to her. He played with her for fifteen minutes. He dodged behind trees and kept her just out of his reach until she began to tire from running.
A burst of speed and a leap placed Grey into position to cut her of and tackle her to the ground. His triumphant howl echoed through the woods and above her. The wolf’s tongue was wet as it licked her cheek. He then stepped back from her and changed back into a man before her. This was the first time Grey had let her see him change. He took a few quick steps and picked her up in his arms.”Is it too cold for you?”
Rey shook her head. “No.” She nuzzled his neck and inhaled his scent. “What do you do with your prey when you’ve run it down and caught it,” she whispered in his ear before she took his earlobe between her teeth and tugged it gently.
He grabbed a fist full of her hair and gave it a tug. His arms wrapped around her so she could only do as he wished. ” I eat it.” he said with a grin as he picked her up and went down on his knees, placing her on her back he went to work. Devouring his prey. He had her pants down in no time at all and the warmth of his tongue was a huge contrast to the cool spring air.
Rey gasped in pleasure and spread her legs wider. She lifted her head, propped herself up on her elbows and looked down the length of her body to watch him.
“I think I’ve had that before,” Rey replied with a grin, “but never wrapped so nicely.” She slipped off the counter and closed the distance between them. With both hands, she slid the quilt off him and turned so she could hold it out and look at it.
“Oh Grey, it’s gorgeous!” The earthy brown and creams of the quilt delighted her, but it was the wolf in the center that she adored. She dropped the quilt to the floor and put her arms around his neck. “Thank you so much. You always seem to know what would make me happy. What I want.” Her hunger for him burned brighter in her eyes.
He rubbed her lower back. “I would love to take credit for it, but John asked me to give it to you a couple moths ago. Actually before you became my mate. I had put it away and forgot all about it.”
“I’ll have to thank him when I see him next.” She licked him slowly under his chin. “What was it about what you were doing earlier that reminded you about the quilt?”
He laughed. “Not so much what I was doing. Rather I am really glad you convinced me to take you as my mate. It reminded me how John wanted me to give you the quilt because he was trying to get us together.”
“He was?” Rey laughed. “Good thing you keep me so satisfied, otherwise I’d have to have a word or two with him. He promised me he wouldn’t tell you I wanted you, and that he wouldn’t do any matchmaking.” She ran her fingers up into his hair. “I’m happy I convinced you too.” She paused for a moment, looking into his eyes. “What is it… What is it that makes you glad?”
“Everything about you. Your laugh, smile. The way you look at me when you want me. How you are not like any other woman I have ever met. I could go on here and never finish. You above anyone worked your way into my heart, and I love you. I know you feel the same, why wouldn’t that make me glad.”
“That’s good, for a start.” Rey smiled, her love for him lighting up her face, and the little spot of darkness and doubt in the back of her mind vanished. “Now, I think there’s something not quite right. You’re naked, and I’m still half dressed. What should we do about it?”
Grey smiled, reached over, and tore her remaining clothes off.
That set her heart racing. “You going to finish what you started outside, or move on to something new?”
Grey grabbed her and carried her upstairs. Once there he laid her out on the bed and returned to his work from the woods, kissing her lower lips with passion and determination. His fingers slid into her and pulsed inside her. All her muscles from the waist down tensed and her hips tilted upwards, begging for more as a moan of pleasure and need escaped from her lips. Rey reached over her head to take hold of the headboard. He worked his fingers inside her bringing her closer and closer to climax.
“How do you want me?”
“I don’t care,” Rey panted, her voice ragged and heavy with desire, edged with desperation. “I want you. I need you. Now.” Her knuckles were white as she tried to keep herself from grabbing him.
In a quick motion Grey was on her, and he eased himself into her. “I want to hear you scream.” He said as he thrust into her.
She writhed in pleasure. “Then you’re going to have to work…” Her breath caught in her throat when he thrust into her again. “…harder.” She ran her fingernails down his back, leaving long scratches behind. “I want your growls to mix with my moans. I want to feel your teeth as you feel mine. I want your hard cock pounding inside me with my legs wrapped around you to get you deeper. I want to feel you cum inside me as my pussy clenches down on you.” The slight embarrassment at using those words fled at the rising tide of her approaching orgasm. “I want to hear you shout my name as I scream yours.”
He gave her what she asked for. His thrusts increased in both speed and intensity. With her legs wrapped around him he took a position that gave him more leverage to thrust deeper. His eyes bled to those of a wolf and his teeth bit teasingly on her nipple.
Rey grabbed his hair with both hands and pulled his lips to hers and kissed him hungrily, plundering his mouth with her tongue. When she was finished, she dragged his head to the side, baring his neck to her. There she licked and nipped him as he had her.
Grey responded to her in equal fashion. His growls became more feral and he moved her so he was behind her. He took her from behind in heavy thrusts until she screamed in climax. Even as her body shook and spasmed from the intensity of her orgasm, she continued to thrust back against him. Rey wanted to feel him cum and scream in time with her, and was determined to get what she wanted.
Grey’s gutteral moans intensified with her body movements. His shaft punded hard and deep into her body. Each motion coming harder and faster as his breathing became more urgent. His moaning grew louder with each thrust. His hands found her hips and slammed her into him in rythym. he screamed her name as her body was filled with a rush of hot fluid.
Exhausted, he caught himself on his hands panting. A shudder ran through his body as he pulled his still rigid form from her.
Rey twisted and turned so she lay on her back beneath him. She wrapped her arms around him, pulled him down onto her then rolled them both over so she lay on top. With loving tenderness, she whispered “mon loup aimé, tu me possèdes coeur et âme,” and kissed him.
Grey’s head cocked to one side. His wolven eyes looked into hers. “Huh?” She gently and playfully bit his chin. “God, your eyes like that just turn me right on. I said my beloved wolf, you own me heart and soul.”
His pulse raced. His breathing quickened. He didn’t know what to say that wouldn’t sound stupid compared to that. So he kissed her slowly , gently, passionately. He put everything he felt into that one kiss, sending the energy into her body hoping his love could touch her soul. I love, it said. I need you, you are everything to me. You have me completely.
When the kiss finally ended, Rey felt as if her brain had been disconnected from her body and dunked in a vat of bliss. “You do realize,” she said, and her voice like she was half asleep and high on something, “that when you kiss me like that, you could probably get me to do just about anything. I’d even wash your underwear and darn your socks.”
He smiled, pleased with himself. “But I like my socks. Why darn them?”
“You like your toes sticking out through any holes…” She smiled, her mind wandering into naughty thoughts. “Hmmm… That would certainly make some things a lot easier.” Rey’s hands started wandering over Grey’s chest and then she realized he was joking. “Oh you.” She pressed a kiss over his heart and sighed happily.
Rey lifted her head so she could look at his face. “Why did you decide tonight to let me see you shift forms?” she asked, curious as to the reason.
“Oh. Caught up in the moment I guess. Did it bother you?” he asked. She shook her head. “No. It’s just that no one else in the pack has let me see them change. I was just wondering why.”
“No reason. At least it is not intentional as far as I know.” Grey pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her. “I’ve decided I am keeping you. Hope you don’t mind.”
“Mmmm. I like the sound of that. But only if you promise to hug me and feed me and comb my hair and sing me a lullaby. But I draw the line at being called George.”
“I think I can manage that,” he smiled. She shifted slightly so she was more comfortably draped over his body. “I’m so glad to be home.”
“I am glad to have you home. But did you find what you were looking for?”
“Some, but not all.” Rey told him about finding Jennifer and their reunion, and the message from Daniel when they returned to the hotel. “I couldn’t stay there anymore, so we came home. But Ramiel had Michael drive to the cemetery where my parents had been buried.” She had to force herself to unclench her fist. “Someone had ‘Loving Parents’ inscribed on their headstone.”
“It is past now.” He kissed her. “Why don’t we rest. We can continue this in the morning.”
“Okay.” She lay her head back down on his chest and listened to his heart. The gentle, calming movements of his calloused hands over her body soothed the tension out of her and she fell contentedly asleep.
